The World Trade Organization has issued an updated notification [G/TBT/N/IDN/139] as of December 1st 2021.

This WTO notification describes that a new draft has been issued and published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding the international cooperation on Halal Products Assurance. This draft is only available in Bahasa.

This international cooperation on Halal Product Assurance concerns:

Halal Certification Bodies | Governmental Bodies | Food and Beverage industry | Drugs and Medicine industry | Cosmetics industry | Abattoirs | Logistics industry

And more.

This WTO notification explains the implementation of international cooperation which will be applied based on the agreements between countries which include the development of technology, human resources and infrastructure for halal products assurance, and mutual acceptance and recognition of conformity assessment result. 

Foreign Halal Institutions [Certification Bodies such as ourselves] must comply to requirements to be able to cooperate
with BPJPH.

As of December 2021, the BPJPH [the Halal Authority in the Republic of Indonesia] only accepts Halal Certification Bodies mentioned on the official website of the Majlis Ulama Indonesia: https://www.halalmui.org/mui14/main/page/daftar-lembaga-sertifikasi-halal
